Time Flies When You Are Having Fun

I think I've heard the statement, "Time flies when you are having fun", so many times that I'd be a billionaire if I had a nickel for every time it's graced my ears.

I said it to a coworker this morning and in that instant a different thought came to mind that has never traversed across the realm where my brain resides. 

Time for me seems to move faster the older I get, and I know many other people have said the same.  I also believe life gets better the older you get, if you let it.

So is time moving so much faster the older we get because we are having more fun the older we get? 

Maybe just maybe!!  Enjoy your time on this planet while you can, you may not have as much time to enjoy it later as you think you do.

The Next Day

So yesterday was my birthday as I mentioned in my post Birthday Blessings 2011.  First business of the day, I tried to drive to Walmart to get a futon however realized that there was no way to fit it in my little car.  I then tried to drive home before my friend was supposed to be there, I find that half of Gainesville, ok I exaggerate, just a huge part of University Avenue had been blocked off for the Gator Homecoming parade.  I was thinking 'NOOOOOOO', I then proceeded having to drive down side roads for detours through residential neighborhoods.  This was a maddening thing, well could have been, but I kept hope that I'd eventually make it through this traffic jungle of people trying to find parking places, and people charging $5-15 a car to park on the grass of their yards, and my urge to just start bypassing the traffic and driving through yards and barreling through fences with my little car.  Luckily I had awesome music to keep me sane.  I finally found my way through to a major road, after an hour.  It took me longer on the detour to find a major road to get me home than it took me to drive to Walmart and go in and find the futons and talk to sales person and decide that it wouldn't fit in the car.  Oh and to stop and look at awesome televisions that I cannot afford.  Fortunately this detour was the only odd moment of the day.

My friend arrived and we had a great time.  He happens to drive a giant beautiful pickup and took me to get the futon - yay!  Definitely one of those times to take a moment and thank God for Southern men and their pickup trucks.  We hung out watched movies, ordered food in, took shots of the super delicious Pucker Vodka citrus... it was all great!!  I spent the day doing basically nothing and I loved it!  In the past when I've had a birthday party I always ended up having to do way more work than any birthday girl should have to.  So it was awesome that I could actually sit back and relax and just enjoy having company for the day and no drama either.  The older I get the more I just try to find that elusive zen state, and yesterday was pretty close.

Balue has decided the futon was purchased for him.

I woke up too early though, and went to bed late, and woke up again today too early.  So what did I do the day after my birthday?  Well I napped... fantastic!!

I know I know it's late... I had a super busy and tiring day.  Today was my work Halloween festivities that I've mentioned a couple of times.  Between finishing touches to decorations and then manning tour stuff it will wipe a girl out.  And let us not forget the food!  Good grief I ate too much!!  I had to come home and force myself to work out which actually did make me feel better.  Since then I've been sitting here in a sugar/too much food coma watching some television.  Anyways I couldn't let the day pass without at least saying something. I hope everyone has had a wonderful Tuesday!  Only 2 days and 2 hours until my birthday!

That Blindfold Kind of Trust

Do you trust your lover enough to let them blindfold you?  Many different fun activities can be done while blindfolded… it can be fun for the blindfolded and the blindfolder. 

First rule if you are feeding each other and this game is supposed to end in a hot steamy romp in the sack… do not use anything gross.  If you get to a point where you’ve ran out of things to feed your blindfolded lover do not run to the refrigerator and grab the jar of mayo.  It’s always better to either use your same yummy foods you’ve been using in a new order… or kick things up to the next level and try some light touch or start tasting body parts… but this time the blindfolder gets to do the tasting.  Who can resist a nibble behind the ear?

If this is a friendly game that will end in your friend passing out on the couch because you both indulged in too many shots while playing the Wii go ahead and reach for that mayo, mustard and ketchup.  (I feel sorry for your friend.)

When in the more sexy scenario and you are picking your foods hint around for some ideas of what some of their favorite foods are.  Perhaps they are succulent food lover, or maybe they’d like some spice and wouldn’t mind a hot chili.  Safe fallbacks are strawberries, cantaloupe, small cheese cubes, and chocolate.  Things that are fairly soft and easy to chew, bites that are small enough for your partner to not look like a cow while eating… the last thing you want is for them to be subconscious because you’ve given them a bite so large food is dribbling out of their mouth… not sexy. 

Use bubbly water or their favorite wine, juice, champagne, or shots between each taste test to clear their taste buds of the last thing they tasted so they can fully enjoy the next. 

Want a caffeine boost?  Throw in a chocolate covered coffee bean here and there.  Or there are some really great candy bars out there that contain coffee beans.

Be careful of fresh pineapple.  Fresh pineapple contains an enzyme that naturally breaks down protein and can be used as a meat tenderizer.  If you’ve ever eaten too much pineapple and your mouth started burning… you’ve just had too much and your mouth is being tenderized.  So if you see this awesome pineapple and want to use it in your food game… make sure it’s fully ripe, do not use any of the core, rinse it well, and for good measure you can cover it in some lime juice.  Main thing just do not indulge in too much because the last thing you want is for your lovers mouth to be out of order.

Be adventurous!  Try some blindfold fun to spice up you and your partners romantic time and deepen your trust for each other… after the food portion of the evening ends things really get fun. ;)
